A Thousand Fallen Flowers

counting tiny blooms
on familiar paths
to unknown destinies
without doubt sung by the
north star unsure of herself
enclosed by chatters
and chants
of starry eyes and whispers
engulfed in grief and stung
within a wreath woven
tight of mistletoe.

A Thousand Fallen Flowers was inspired by a vision I saw of scattered petals across a path. I wrote it during a time when my structured reality was dissolving around me. I chose to paint the words using vivid colours, a nod to the lightness and hope that always surrounds 🙂

The painting is a one-off original (the only one in the World!)
