ART PROMPTS: Weekly Creative Challenge /6
Are you ready to join a fun art challenge?
Art prompts is here to kick start and unblock your creativity, with one prompt and one constraint to get you back creating and having fun. The creative prompt is there for a starting point with the idea to approach the challenge freely. It’s aimed at artists but is open to any creatives (musicians, writers, makers) the more the merrier. I’ll post new prompts via my insta (@spirityou) or through my newsletter (sign up at bottom of this page). I encourage everyone to share their creations using the hashtag #syartprompts
I can’t wait to connect and see what you come up with 🙂
Let’s all inspire each other to create better art!
Prompt /6: Draw what you imagine Oprah eats for breakfast
For this challenge, I deliberately didn’t google what Oprah actually has for breakfast (I’m sure it’s out there!) because the joy is really in letting your imagination go wild.
CONSTRAINT: turn your art into a repeating pattern
This week’s constraint throws a little curveball as it’s not an actual constraint but an extra step to do if you’re feeling creatively inspired. I did my repeating pattern in photoshop and the best tutorial I found is this one by Cristina via youtube.
My EXAMPLE
I was thinking Oprah would be down for some fruit, a sweet pastry, edible flowers, and a bloody mary 😛
It made for a really fun repeating pattern – imagine if this was wallpaper!
Your next step is to go forth and create, then share it via insta using the #syartprompts tag.
New prompts are sent out via my newsletter (which you can sign up for below)
