Art prompts is here to kick start and unblock your creativity, to get you back creating and having fun. The creative prompt is there for a starting point with the idea to approach the challenge freely. It’s aimed at artists but is open to any creatives (musicians, writers, makers) the more the merrier. I’ll post new prompts via my insta (@spirityou) or through my newsletter (sign up at bottom of this page). I encourage everyone to share their creations using the hashtag #syartprompts

I can’t wait to connect and see what you come up with 🙂

Let’s all inspire each other to create better art!

Prompt /3: Combine two Images

This week’s challenge is to use the two images below to come up with your own creation.  Creativity comes from combining ideas so this week’s challenge will push your creative limits.  This challenge requires some extra thinking so there’ll be no added constraint this week.

Some ideas: don’t get stuck drawing a croissant with four legs (although that could be cool!) think about what stands out to you in each image, a texture, a colour, or feeling perhaps? There is no right or wrong answer just let your brain explore and have fun 🙂

My EXAMPLE

I started to think about the shape of a croissant (how it looked like a moon) and how that idea would be super sweet for a nursery poster.  To incorporate the lion I played around with some messy handwriting and some famous lyrics.  I approached this challenge loosely and as a result it took me to a fun place 🙂

Your next step is to go forth and create, then share it via insta using the #syartprompts tag.
New prompts are sent out via my newsletter (which you can sign up for below)
