Prints Autumn 2021

Design

Introducing my Autumn 2021 series of prints. My head was swirling with ideas I wanted to record on paper and I found myself surrounded by drawings and sketches. I knew I’d eventually select just four and those pieces needed to work together and be the best summary of my headspace. I suffered a lot of grief this month but also large chunks of optimistic happiness. From the burnt match to the colourful flame, the star blooms to the crying flower, – this month was an active mood ring of creativity.

You can find all four prints over here.

Sad Flower in Vase

I can never escape drawing sadness and flowers 😛

Rainbow Flame

I filled my sketchbook with dozens of rainbow flames before deciding this was the chosen one.

Burnt Matches

Black ink, curved lines, and symbols to tell narratives are my creative jam.

Star Flowers

I spotted these precious teeny tiny fallen flowers on one of my walks, in one of my favourite places. I had to do a double-take because the moss-covered rocks holding them, looked like the night sky reversed. I scooped a few into my palm, trying my hardest not to lose or crush them before I getting a chance to record them.
